Tropical Green Smoothie

Go Green! Green smoothies have been all the rage lately. They really are good for you, but I know many people find that all of the greens are just too strong for them. Instead of giving up on them completely, try adding a piece or two of a sweet fruit like pineapple, mango, or banana. You will still receive all the benefits of the greens and veggies, but will be able to tolerate the taste!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup coconut water
  • 2 handfuls of spinach
  • 4-5 pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1 cucumber, chopped
  • 1 tbsp. maca powder (optional)
  • Few cubes of ice

Directions:

  1. Chop fruit and cucumber.
  2. Blend cucumber, fruit and coconut water for a few seconds on high until smooth.
  3. Add spinach and ice. Blend again until smooth.
  4. Add maca powder. Pulse quickly to mix.
  5. Serve & Enjoy!
