What Happens During a Reiki Session?
Reiki sessions are approximately 60 minutes, though shorter sessions are available and can also be effective. Clients are treated fully clothed, sitting up in a chair or lying down on a massage table, whichever is more comfortable. During the session, the Reiki practitioner will gently rest her hands on (or slightly above) various parts of the body in patterns which include the head, neck, abdomen, arms, legs, back and feet.
The body is touched lightly. A warm, tingling feeling, deep relaxation, and a peaceful calm are often reported by anyone receiving Reiki. There is no manipulation of the skin or muscle tissue. Reiki sessions are non-invasive and painless.
Essential oils can also be added to enhance the healing of a Reiki session and to open and balance the chakras.

Reiki Sessions with Andrea
I initially started practicing Reiki to give myself treatments to help ease the symptoms of my fibromyalgia. I have had remarkable results! I was so inspired that I decided to become a Usui Reiki Master/Teacher to enhance my practice and to provide greater healing benefits to my clients.
I have had experience working with people who suffer from chronic headaches, insomnia, anxiety and fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. Additionally, I have also helped people prepare their body for surgery and worked with several people who were receiving cancer treatments.
Me with William Rand at the Usui Reiki Master Training.
