Best Veggie Burger

Best Veggie Burger ever is made by Sunshine Burgers! I make this simple, delicious veggie burger with avocado, relish and onions. I love the southwest burgers. I use Ezekiel bread because it is made with sprouted grain. But, you could use any whole grain bun or bread. They are ready in minutes. They make a super easy and healthy dinner when you are in hurry.

Ingredients: Use organic ingredients whenever possible!

  • 1 Sunshine Burger (I like the Southwest flavor!)
  • 1/2 avocado
  • a couple slices yellow onion, diced
  • 1 tablespoon relish
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 2 slices Ezekiel bread, toasted (or whole grain bun or bread)
  • Directions:

    1. Dry fry the veggie burger on medium heat (a few minutes on each side).
    2. Toast the bread.
    3. Mash avocado on one slice of toast.
    4. Add diced onion and relish to the avocado mash.
    5. Place the veggie burger on the other slice of toast. Add the mustard and put the other slice on top. Cut in half and ENJOY!

    This is a very simply veggie burger recipe. I love these burgers because they are made with all organic ingredients and are high in protein. I make my own veggie burgers when I have time, using various beans, quinoa or brown rice and veggies. But these burgers are perfect when you are in a hurry and need a quick and easy dinner that is still nutritious. They are still a little high in sodium though, so try not to add any additional sodium like salt or ketchup. You could also add one or two tomato slices if you'd like. This burger would go perfect with baked sweet potato fries!
